I looked for a paint lid all day ( 2 minutes) and finally found it inside of another can of paint....then I couldn't find the paint for the lid.......like searching for your phone, finding it in the fridge and then forgetting who you wanted to call or why you opened the fridge

Time Out with Mindi & Manny, The Matador Moon

This is a screenshot of a friend's Facebook post, "Giving myself a timeout" & a pic of the ocean (a cockamamie california time-out). I have always understood a time-out to involve temporarily separating a child from an environment where inappropriate behavior has occurred, a punitive measure. Apparently my west coast friends have a different interpretation of a time-out. As suggested by Mindi, I now officially enter into record The best time out is with a good friend

Mindi is fabulous & not at all a cow. Although Manny frequently howls at the moon, he is but a mere hunka hunky mortal. 
I was thinking about Mindi & Manny while I was painting this.

Manny: Mindi [meen-deeee] venga a jugar Conmigo

Mindi: I don't know, is that a party sombrero ?
If you wanna fiesta we’ll be the besta friends
If you wanna siesta
See ya mañana silly banana

Manny: Señorita, no soy chiquita
Soy la luna y quierida que venga a jugar Conmigo en dulces suenos
Puedes saltar y bailar Conmigo

Mindi: You admire me from afar
Come down to earth where we go Olé for this day
Milk it for the cream, not some silly dream
Twinkle our toes, cut a rug doin the jitterbug 

Manny: Pero mi quierida amiga
Podemos tener una fiesta de nuestros suenos y otra cuando despertamos

Mindi: Oh my what to wear, two fancy affairs !
I’ve only this big cheesy grin, stars on my ears & spotted purple hair
I’ll add some super to my stars duper to my savoir faire 

Manny: Usted Es hermosa

Mindi: Anyplace we gos, we gos together 
Awake or in dreams your udderly the best friend a girl cud have

A Daring & Fashionable Escape from the Fishbowl

Jupiter & Star make a daring & fashionable escape from the fishbowl (mural detail from "The Early World")
This made me think how many goldfish we went through as children. My dad never 'fluffed' the fish death. He broke out his best bedside manner, looked directly at me and said "your fish is dead, you forgot to feed it... again"

Full Frontal Nudity , Eyelash Curling an Olympic Sport & New Painting Techniques

"Magic Treehouse" mural detail. 'Awesome Daswon' clowning around with 'Miss Pinky Division', 'Diamond Eyed Orange Multiply' & a little blue egret with a secret

"Math Rocks" mural. All the characters in the Magic Treehouse are having a math party in the hallway. I wrote a poem for each one.
I imagine them to be.... Minus is a Pirate, Multiply is a Royal Queen, Plus is English Nobility, Division is a Beauty Queen

and Equal.......well his words speak more than his looks.....Equal is the friendly local Bookie, he runs all the numbers

"Sir Green Proud Plus" & "Miss Pinky Division" rockin the math scene 

Miss Pinky Division's mad style brings home Olympic Gold for Eyelash Curling. This is for my fabulous friends who have made eyelash curling an Olympic sport......ya'll know who you are & your luscious lashes are AWEsome

Miss Diamond Eyed orange Multiply is simply divine, legs that go on for miles, diamonds for eyes and an über fancy pants throne to sit on

Awesome tools, Constant State of Shock & Swashbuckling Minus

Awesome tools, Epson projector (crisp & no distortion) hooked up to my fabulous Apple. If I could teach my projector to paint, I'd really be on to something

my 'good' camera which I'm not really allowed to use. Sure, I bought it & it belongs to me but I have limited access to it

this camera might explain why I have limited access to my 'good' camera. This is the 14 mega pixel shock proof Olympus Tough. She has been in a constant state of shock for 2 years & taken it like a trooper. 
High Five for the Olympus Tough, she has taken a beating & keeps on shooting

Another trooper, my Casio Gzone Commando. It has been dropped from 30, in a gallon of paint,under the wheel of my truck & works like brand new

AWESOME email ! This is an email from a Head Start teacher saying, "You are awesome. Your murals are going to make a big difference in our childrens lives. Art is very important in all our lives"
I received the email while using my projector (hooked up to my laptop) so here it is HUGE on my wall.
 So far we have installed 1 of 3 murals & there is much happiness on both sides
(Email came via a third party/Red blocks blank out email addresses)

New Yoga Mat, Fervor & Amazing Light

Thursday morning in the studio with my fave coffee cup. Thats decaf, this is a caffeine free zone

I love the way the brushes look when they are clean, lined up & ready to go

When my laptop is hibernating it floats words across the screen...sometimes I see them & think hmmmm the universe, she is speaking to me..... or Apple, it could be Apple speaking to me

An amazing light was was glowing in the studio about 8pm, I had to walk outside & see it. This is one of many reasons Florida is awesome
